In response to your mail, please refer to the enclosed documentation which resumes the essential information concerning enlistment procedures for the French Foreign Legion.
Although it is the central principal of the Foreign Legion to accept candidates of all national and / or ethnic origins, it should be noted that no individual aid can be offered concerning VISA requirements and/or travel expenses to or from France.
Each volunteer must present himself in person in one of the recruiting posts which can be found in the brochure. These centers are open continually and prepared to receive candidates 24 hours a day.
He will first undergo some interviews and a medical examination.
If the candidature is retained, the volunteer will be authorised to sign an unconditonal five (5) year contract.
He will then be sent to Aubagne, near Marseille, with a convoying legionnaire, and there will go through various selection and orientation procedures :
- Medical and psychological tests.
- Security and motivation interviews.
If for whatever reason the candidature is not retained, he will be immediately returned to civilian life.

Em resposta à sua mail, tenho o prazér de enviar-vos esta brochura que resume o essencial do que deve saber sobre as modalidades de alistamento na Legião estrangeira.
A selecção e a incorporação são possíveis em qualquer momento do ano.
Todo voluntário deve-se apresentar obrigatóriamente nos vários postos de recrutamento que figuram na brochura.
O candidato será submetido en lo posto às entrevistas médicales e motivos.
Se for aceite a candidatura, o voluntário será autorisado a subscrever um contrato incondicional de cinco (5) anos.
às provas de selecção e de orientação :
Testes médicos, psicotécnicos e desportivos.
Entrevista sobre a segurança e os seus motivos.
No caso contrário, e seja qual for o motivo, terá que voltar imediatamente à vida civil.
Alem disso, a Legião estrangeira não pode ajudar-vos em nenhuma parte administrativa para obter um visa de entrada na França, nem ajudar-vos financeiramente na vossa viagem de ida e volta.
Nenhuma promessa de conseguir a sua selecção não pode ser dada, é aconselhável que se tenha um bilhete de ida e volta, para não se encontrar em transgressão da legislação Francesa relativa à estadia dos estrangeiros em França.
